Christmas time...
Christmas is approaching fast! Yesterday, my son took a gift to his teacher and then he asked for it back. Yeah, I'm trying to teach him the meaning of "gift giving!"

Jumping on the blogging band wagon...
Well, here it is...my first blog. Can't believe I'm jumping on this band wagon, but what the heck! It'll be fun...at least, I hope it'll be fun! :-)
Just a little bit about myself. I'm a mom to a wonderful 4 year old little boy. He'll turn 5 in July and start school in the fall. I'm also a newly single parent. My ex-husband and I are friends, which is great for co-parenting our son. I never expected to be here, but I'm learning to "expect the unexpected!" Of course, it has only taken me 36 years to learn that one.
I work at a wonderful university in Texas and I have the most amazing family, friends and church that anyone could ever ask for. I'm blessed beyond words with that. I'm also blessed beyond words with my son's birth parents, who live in Cheyenne, WY. His birth mother calls me every Mother's Day to wish me a great day. Isn't that just AWESOME!!! I have an extended family with his birth parent's and their families. It is truly a special bond and I'm so thankful to that.
Well, that's it for this one. We'll see when I blog next....
